This article aims to approach the changes in the family concept over the history, as well as the family types resulting from them, having as fulcrum the affectivity in their formation. It also contemplates the changes around the Animal Law, its doctrinal and legislative conceptions, mainly, the view of the non-human animal as a sentient being, and not as a mere self-moving object. From the study of these two Law branches, its central object is to understand the Multispecies Family as a family type to be recognized and legislated by the legal system, treating and providing solutions to situations that may occur, glimpsing its unique characteristics, the affective relationship between different species as a family. The method of approach used is deductive, once from studies and research carried out in the Law area, with doctrines and jurisprudence, it is concluded that the recognition of the Multispecies Family is an existing fact, but not effectively legislated, promoting social difficulties to those who falls into the family type and cannot effectively appeal to justice for lack of legal provision.
