Humanized management is a theme that has been increasingly highlighted in studies and in daily organizational and territorial practices. In order to investigate the main theoretical and conceptual approaches in the field of humanized management, a bibliometric study was carried out on this field, in international journals with a high impact factor, in the Web of Science database, from 1976 to 2019, using cocitation techniques and exploratory factor analysis. The data collected elucidated four theoretical approaches: organizational ethical culture, social capital, moral behavior and anthropomorphism. The results confirm the interrelation of humanized management with the four elucidated approaches, as well as the relevance of humanized management in organizational and territorial studies, with emphasis on such approaches. This study contributes to broaden the understanding of the scientific milestones that permeate humanized management, making it possible to develop future studies in this field, based on the conceptual and empirical gaps identified.
