Facts of organizational learning in the furniture chain and regional development

This article explores the contributions of organizational learning in the furniture chain and regional development. The aim of the study was to understand, in fostering regional development, the current panorama of organizational learning in the furniture industries of the Northwest Frontier and Celeiro / RS Regions, participants of the Production Extension and Innovation Project - PEPI in relation to daily operation. and its use as a competitive differential. In methodological terms, the multicase, field, exploratory and descriptive study. The sources were documentary, bibliographic and with interviews with businessmen and project members. In terms of results, the study highlights the relevance of cooperation initiatives that include the State, Universities and Entrepreneurs, articulated with other fomentation agents, as a support mechanism, advisory, training and promotion of innovation in the productive chains. Evidence indicates the importance of organizational learning processes, highlighting the people, processes and structures of companies. From PEPI, the companies of the furniture chain became stronger, increased production, productivity and competitiveness, indicating positive contributions in the regional development processes.
