Sustainable management in companies facing environmental compliance

The article encourages thinking about sustainable development for companies in the face of environmental compliance, considering legal aspects linked to protection and preservation of the environment. Most companies are not compliant with environmental regulations and laws, showing weakness when it comes to sustainability. The compliance system appears in law with the organizational purpose within public and private institutions. Thus, the research seeks to investigate whether the implementation of environmental compliance helps in the greater efficiency of sustainable development in companies, for this purpose, the research used the deductive method, and a considerable bibliographic search. The work is divided into three parts, the first is responsible for demonstrating the relevance of environmental compliance in companies; in the second, the environmental impacts arising from the business activity are discussed, while in the third, environmental compliance and the effect on the environment are highlighted. Finally, it is understood that in fact the current production model produces significant environmental impacts, however, compliance can assist in the prevention of environmental risks and also assist in sustainable development, thus establishing a balance between business activities and environmental sustainability.
