Abstract

Municipal actions can direct the achievement of sustainability in transport. This article evaluated the actions of the city of Santos in relation to target 11.2 of Sustainable Development Goal 11 – Sustainable Cities and Communities. The study had an exploratory, qualitative approach and used a single case study. Minutes of meetings of the Santos Municipal Transport Commission (CMTS) were analyzed to verify the relationship with target 11.2, the correlation with urban mobility plans and the city's challenges. The analysis identified records on accessibility, road safety, sustainability, public transport and the city's mobility plan. No records were identified on cargo transportation, actions for the evolution of the other SDGs, the environmental and economic dimensions.
