Study on the perceptions of young people from the perspective of their performance in cooperativism

Abstract

The present study deals with the prospects for the cooperatives to work and their challenging relationships with young people. The objective of this study was to understand cooperation, with the possibility of the presence of young people, to contribute to new configurations and institutional arrangements in a credit cooperative, in the region in the Northwest Region, in the state of Rio Grande do Sul. expectation, the study relies on applied research, with qualitative and quantitative, exploratory and descriptive approaches. It means, that the study, presents a scientific investigation based on field research with young people from 19 to 30 years old, whose results, present the credit cooperative, as being an environment to attract new members. This result comes in large part from the practices carried out by the cooperative, the good service, the benefits provided. The study indicates the importance of enhancing the membership, the transparency of activities, democratic and participative management, cooperative education initiatives aimed at people of different age groups and their involvement with the community. The highlight in the perception of young people, to projects developed in schools through the União Faz a Vida Program. It adds the study indicating the possibilities and positive perspectives of cooperativism, from the perspective of young people, as it develops activities directed with methodologies and actions appropriate to the public of this age group. As a result of the future, confirming the cooperative as a strategy and mechanism of action present for young people.
