Judicial conciliation and mediation in family law with a documentary analysis at the family and probation court of Rio Negro – PR

The present article intends to investigate the effectiveness about the conciliation and judicial mediation related to family conflicts in Brazilian legal system. The consequences related to the introduction of the conciliation and the mediation through the Brazilian legal system. To reach the goal, the paper brings notion about family conflicts, ways to solve the conflicts, analysis of conciliation and mediation and conciliation and mediation in family conflicts, through bibliographic research based on relevant legislation and doctrine. To ground the theoretical research, this study carries out a field/documentary research meets the principles of scientific research through the inductive, quantitative, exploratory method, about conflict resolution with the conciliation and mediation instruments in Rio Negro/PR Family Court and Successions. It was found that the use of the technique of conciliation and judicial mediation in family conflicts in the Brazilian legal system, has contributed to the reduction of legal battles, the psychological distress that this type of process brings, which demonstrates that the solution of the disputes in the District of Rio Negro is significant and has been growing gradually during the surveyed period.
