Abstract

This article aims to bring the concept of family, soon after the evolution and new forms of family that are accepted in today's society, such as the multispecies family. Thus, the bond of affection created between family members and animals has become very common these days. In this context, there is curiosity about the possibility of shared custody of pets. It is necessary to understand the concept of family today and its evolution so that we can have an idea of what is happening, since the family has undergone transformations over the years, and therefore currently family recognition. Finally, it is concluded that there is the possibility of shared custody of pets, which characterizes the bond of families, including affection and protection of animals. The objective of this study is to provide legal measures for the necessary and sufficient responsible custody of pets in domestic relations. As for the methods, the research is carried out with bibliographic material and scientific article, through exploratory and inductive methods, making use of legislation, facts and bibliographic reviews of authors of works on the subject relevant to the issues raised.
