Abstract

This scientific article was about compliance. This institute, applied to the business environment, assumes by definition the idea of seeking compatibility with a company's internal rules, ethical procedures and current legal norms. In other words, it seeks to create an internal control system in the entity, aiming to maintain its correct functioning. In addition, the business environment is required to investigate illegal conduct that violates legal norms, adopting ways to correct irregularities and deliver the results of internal investigations to the authorities, if applicable. In Brazil, recurrent corruption scandals have resulted in a greater concern with protective mechanisms, with a clearer view of the need to implement policies and procedures that comply with ethical standards. In this sense, Law no. 12.846/13, known as the Anti-Corruption Law, which prioritized good conduct in business activity. The methodology applied is qualitative, observing the inductive method, and the research is based on legal and doctrinal provisions. To explain these circumstances, throughout three chapters, the benefits of a compliance program were exposed, as well as the administrative practices resulting from it, which ensure the business entity compliance with the legislation to which it is subject, see risk management. Finally, it is concluded that there is a need for a code of conduct in the company, guided by ethical principles and policies.
