Abstract

The focus of this paper it’s on a very recurrent subject in the Brazilian family structure, which is: adoption, which is one of the forms of placement of children and adolescents in a surrogate family provided for in the Adolescent and Child Statute. It is an act that certainly changes the future of the child and adolescent, whom often await the arrival of a family to call their own, based one of the main pillars of paranting relationships: affection, education, morals and respect. The aim of this study is to give greater visibility to the adoption of intuitu personae, much practiced within Brazilian society, however, sometimes not known by this name or with fundamentals unknown by the majority of the population. To this end, the concepts addressed in doctrines, jurisprudence and articles that guide the theme will be analyzed, based on the above in the Civil Code and the Child and Adolescent Statute. To lead us to a conclusion, the research uses as a method of deductive approach, which applies as a process of information analysis.
