Abstract

This scientific article presents the problem about the influence of the media in the judgments of the Jury Court when intentional crimes against life has a large repercussion through the media. The main objective is to show the power of the media in forming public opinion and the possible change in internal conviction of the jury, caused by the early undue exposure related to judgment cases of the Jury Court. Is also stated aspects about principles linked to the Jury Court against rights guaranteed to the media and the study of the application of the proportionality principle between the confronting values as a solution to the subject addressed. Lastly, the article presents a famous concrete case that contributes to a better perception of the problem in question. The methodology used in this article is the deductive reasoning that analyzes the information searched using logic and deduction to conclude about the injury caused to the accused in situations when impartial jury is influenced by the media.
