In this article, we will argue about the issue of knowledge in Descartes, encompassing theoretical-conceptual categories regarding knowledge akin to mathematics, an essential element for establishing truth. External knowledge of the world, presenting the two Cartesian hypotheses for the problem, and the knowledge corresponding to ideas, focusing on ideas as a means for understanding bodies and objects, as well as for understanding the existence of bodies and entities, providing a responsible and comprehensive approach to understanding the world and oneself. Finally, from this theoretical movement, one can perceive Descartes' philosophical concern in critically addressing knowledge for the construction and advancement of scientific assumptions.
