In this paper we approached the state of exception by a different input: submission to the rule of state of exception, mentioned by Walter Benjamin, that is, psychic capture, the conditioning of individuals and populations to the state of exception. The research problem was: why is there submission to the exception state rule, reflected in procedural law? To answer the research problem, the text was divided into three topics, each in order to achieve a specific objective: (a) to define exception state; (b) understand forms of co-optation through power relations; and (c) explore submission to the state of exception in power relations that cut through procedural law in a inside out reading of Open Doors. The method of approach was the inductive, starting from the analysis of the specifics of the theme to formulate a conclusion. Secondary research sources, particularly books, were consulted. The research was qualitative bibliographic.
