Abstract

This research aims to analyze the Animal Rights and its relationship with speciesism, seeking to clarify the treatment given to these beings from the reading of the work of Milan Kundera. This is a current and important theme because several countries already favor animal rights through legal, ethical and principled bases. In Brazil, advances in this direction are already being observed and the problem situation is the following question: how can common ground be drawn between Milan Kundera's work - and his consideration of being - and animal rights, specifically in the approach the issue of speciesism? Through the inductive method and the bibliographical research, the theme is analyzed and new horizons of comprehension are sought for an ethics that goes beyond the consideration of law only for human beings.
