Analysis of adherence to the Sustainable Development Objectives (SDGs) in municipalities of Santa Catarina, with a view to complying with the UN Agenda 2030

The objective of this research is to analyze adherence to the Sustainable Development Goals – SDGs of Santa Catarina's hub municipalities, with a view to complying with the UN's 2030 Agenda. The approach is characterized as qualitative with the multiple case study method and analysis of the participation of municipalities in Santa Catarina, selected based on centrality criteria in each of the State's mesoregions. Data collection was carried out on the official websites of city halls, the Sustainable Cities Program and the ODS SC National Movement, in addition to an interview with the coordinator of the ODS SC National Movement. From the collected data, the content analysis technique was applied. The results indicate that the hub municipalities of Santa Catarina are incipient and at different stages in relation to adherence to the SDGs and provide a diagnosis for municipal managers regarding the relevance of adherence to the SDGs in the state of Santa Catarina.
