Good living and post-development
the deconstruction of the colonialist imaginary of the afrolimonian communities of Costa Rica

Faced with the of paradigm anthropocentric culture, it is proposed the deconstruction of the colonialist imaginary through the post-development model of Good Living. The aim was to analyze indicators of Good Living present in Afro-Limonense community practices in Costa Rica from a decolonial perspective. Methodologically, bibliographical, and descriptive research was used from 2020 to 2022. The results showed that in addition to the Ubuntu philosophy of black African peoples, indicators of Good Living are present in Afro-Limon practices, essential for well-being and community leadership. More than a form of resistance, it supports the maintenance of cultural identity and ancestral knowledge.
