This is an exploratory and descriptive text about the production of agricultural machinery in Argentina during the period usually know as new developmentalism (2003-2015) during which the production of agricultural machinery was seen as a strategic economic activity and as a testimonial attempt of the reindustrialization turn promoted by the national government. The aim here is to show for that period of time selected, the efforts to align the macroeconomic political strategies of the national level with the industrial sector of the agriculture machinery, as well as with the regional economic policies for this industrial sector. Among others, the result was the rise of a particular relatively virtuous regional economic space in Argentina.
Keywords: Agricultural machinery. Argentina. New developmentalism. Industrial policy. Multilevel.
