City strategies, public services and strategic digital city, Edinburgh, Scotland case

City strategies and alternative technologies are being developed around the world to promote the economic and social development of cities. The objective is to analyze city strategies and public services with information technologies offered to citizens and their relationships with a strategic digital city project. The research methodology adopted was a case study in the city of Edinburgh, Scotland, using qualitative and quantitative techniques. The research protocol has 2 constructs and 6 variables. The results obtained show that Edinburgh has city strategies and services that aim to promote the sustainable development of the city and its citizens, covering public thematic such as sustainability, renewable energy, housing, infrastructure, culture, health, and environment, among others. The conclusion emphasizes the interconnection importance between city strategies and public services with information technology in the urban context and population growth in strategic digital city subprojects. Edinburgh City is an example of how information technology resources can improve public services and the well-being of citizens and city management. The use of public policies for the insertion of information technology strengthens and solidifies vital processes for urban and regional development.
