The motorcycle market has shown significant growth over the last few years, including at a national level. However, the increase in the number of vehicles in circulation has also resulted in an increase in crime, especially theft and robbery. Given this scenario, the study aimed to analyze the feasibility of developing the Anti-Theft Trestle for motorcycles, a security system aimed at preventing theft when the vehicle is parked. To this end, a technological prospecting study, market research, environmental analysis and manufacturing costs were used. The results suggest the technological potential for manufacturing the product. It was also observed that there is market acceptance, especially for users and owners of Honda brand motorcycles. A gap in the market for anti-theft devices has been identified and a viable alternative has been proposed to promote the safety and satisfaction of motorcycle owners. Furthermore, the study's contributions are supported by the mobilization of a set of technical knowledge and management tools that provide pertinent information for the development and commercialization of this new product.
