Abstract

The urban drainage system requires project management and urban management for its adequacy. The objective is to analyze project management in urban drainage infrastructure and relations with strategic digital cities, preliminarily. The research methodology used was a case study in the city of Londrina, based on 2 constructs and 3 preliminary variables. The initial analyses revealed the existence of projects for the traditional urban drainage system, the participatory management model, and the existence of 6 municipal strategies. The initial findings identified the relationships between project management in urban drainage infrastructure and strategic digital cities, through the sub-project municipal strategies. The first conclusion points to the predominance of the traditional method of urban drainage and reiterates the importance of sustainable urban drainage. It also proposes the use of municipal strategies as guiding principles for urban management and facilitators to achieve better quality of life conditions for citizens.
