Viability of setting up a company for online courses preparatory to public tenders

This article refers to the elaboration of a business plan to analyze the viability of creating a company of online courses preparatory to public tenders. In this sense, the study sought to identify the aspects and conditions that make socioeconomic and financially feasible the constitution of the organization, with a view to formulating marketing strategies, defining operations and financial plan. The relevance of this venture is to bring education to those who do not have access to face-to-face preparatory courses, either by distance to them or by their high price. Methodologically, the research is characterized as exploratory, regarding the bibliographic and descriptive qualitative-quantitative basis with respect to the market research. To verify the market potential, data were collected through a questionnaire to 410 people with 95% confidence, through which it was identified that 31% of the sample expressed a very high chance of acquiring an online preparatory course to public tenders. In addition, through the financial analysis of the business plan, it was concluded that the enterprise is viable, since the net present value (NPV) of R$ 11,604,491.58 is positive and the internal rate of return (IRR) is 585.17%, above that required (16.40%). In addition, the payback period is 2 months and 17 days. Besides that, it was observed that the investment required to open the project is R$ 355,921.18.
